Can I just ask the nation a question for a second? Why does DL Hughley have a show with a political slant to it? Didn't his show get canceled by the late, great UPN network? I mean what qualifies him as a pundant? Oh...wait I think I get it now.
He's slightly funny. Check.
He's African American. Double Check.
He's a Barack supporter. Triple Check.
For those of you that don't know Michael Steele, the newley elected, African American, chairman of the Republican National Convention was on DL's show the other night. DL started going on about how the "de-facto leader of the Republicans" Rush Limbaugh said he wanted to see the president fail. This is something that Rush has said numerous, numerous times. He wants to see Obama fail.
Now while I would like to see that, I know it would spell bad things for this country. So I don't wish total failure on President Obama. Only his policies and his impact on America will determine his success or failure, nothing else.
But back to DL and Steele. Steele then stops him and points out that Rush isn't the leader of the Republicans. Rather that Steele is, as he was elected to lead Republicans. DL flabergasted that he had his facts wrong, continues asking Michael how it's right for Rush to say this kind of thing.
Michael Steele responded like a champ. He said it's the same thing people were saying about Geroge W. Bush towards the end.
That's what I want to talk about today. I don't want to talk about the fight between Steele and Rush, I'd rather talk about another liberal left contradiction. How is it that the left can bad mouth Bush into the ground, but the second someone says something negative about Barack his race and background come into play?
Fact: Barack Obama has no clue what his economic plan is going to do for this country.
Liberal Comeback: Oh what, because he's black he doesn't know anything about money? You're a racist!
Fact: Barack Obama is negilent in some way for pulling troops out of Iraq.
Liberal Comeback: Oh what, because he's black you think he doesn't know what to do in office? You're a racist.
It's been this way the entire campaign and the entire presidency thus far. I'm sick and tired of it. We should be able to crictize a president, the same way people ran Bush into the ground. Nothing was safe with Geroge, his family was hammered, his friends were hammered. But yet if I question Obama's relationship with known terrorists like Rev. Wright, people call me racisit.
It's enough to make me sick...that or the sinus infection I've been suffering from.
Sorry if this makes no sense, it just angers me.
Hope and change America...hope and change.
