Shaking my head...

So let's get this straight. Instead of taking care of matters of oh let's say foreign policy, or the economic recession that we've landed ourselves in, Obama would rather makes his NCAA picks on a special on Sportscenter.

Really people say what you want but they toted out a six by six white board and he scribbled on it, giving his remarks for each team. I don't care if he things that the University of North Carolina can score more baskets then the University of Pittsburgh. If anything I would pick against him, I mean the past few months Obama hasn't been right on a lot of things has he?

After all it was he who ultimately signed the Stimulus Bill into law, which allowed the AIG losers to get their bonuses. You know maybe it's just the common sense in me, but had the American people and Congress had time to read that mega waste of time perhaps they would've spotted Dodd's little add in that allowed AIG to claim these bonuses.

But enough about AIG, because really it's just one big smokescreen for everything else that is going on in our country. How bout the Federal Reserve just printing more money, you're dollar being worth about four cents right now...how's that for a smokescreen. Did anyone else catch that? It should be noted that gold spiked to the highest price in months when the Fed did this. Do not go to those collect your gold and re-sell it places, go to a dealer and cash in. This might be the only boom Obama brings to this economy in a long while.

Bareny Fife, don't even get me started on him. I don't have enough time or energey to state my opinon on that scum ball.

But back to Barack, he's the president. That isn't a five day, forty hour a week job. No you're elected and you're on call three hundred and sixty five days, twenty four hours a day, and seven days a week. It's just the way it is. So why the hell did Obama go and sit on the Tonight Show?

On one side it's nice to see someone so plugged into the system.

On the other side he made fun of Special Olympians.

I have a family friend who has competed and suceeded in the Special Olympics, and say that you want but one thing these kids and people have is heart. For a president to insult them is disheartening.

If George Bush would've said that (which he wouldn't have) people would've hung him out to dry in every major media outlet available to them. But since Barack did it we're supposed to wipe it all under the rug.

No. I refuse. That's some messed up logic.

Hey, don't blame me America. I didn't vote for that genius. I voted for John McCain. McCain wouldn't have sent money to AIG so they could pay off their oversea debts totalling in the hundreds of millions. McCain wouldn't have insutled an already broken down subsect of America. McCain would still be in this financial mess, but he'd be dealing with it a little different.

But hey...hope and change right.

Hope and change America.

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." -- Benjamin Franklin

We are there. We are that society. We have given up our liberties in exchange for security and to be frank with you it started with George W. Bush.

The War on Terror changed this country. We had phone taps, we had the Patriot Act. The American people through their elected individuals gave up their liberties in exchange for security from those who wished us harm. People immediately came out against it. The populous pointed fingers, they demanded the repeal of the act and that the government back off. However no one really appealed to their Congressional representatives or their Senators. I guess it was simply easier to blame the President, even though he has nothing to do with legislation other then signing it into law.

That was an example of our physical security...however what about financial security. What about economic security...that's on everyone's mind right now.

First, let me explain to people who surpluses and recessions work. You do not enter into either of them over night. For example, William Jefferson Clinton did not get a surplus do to HIS actions, rather the actions of Regan and George H. W. Bush lead to a good and booming economy. Conversely, the actions towards the end of the Clinton administration and the acts of 9/11, as well as some sloppy George W. Bush policy lead to a recession. It takes more then one man to sink this economy of ours and it will take more then one man to bring it out of the rut.

We have now given up economic liberties to get economic security with this Stimulus Package. And quite frankly I don't think we deserve either and I think that we may lose both. Take a look around....the pork spending in this bill alone is enough to sink the Titanic. So why is everyone all about it?

Is there something that I missed?

I'm white. I'm middle class. I doubt any breaks apply to me or mine...I could be wrong but I doubt it.

We have given up everything to protect ourselves on all fronts and what have we been left with, a score of problems that the younger generations will have to figure out.

Oh well, I guess that's part of the hope and change.

Pork Spending

There comes a time in a Blogger's life where he sits down to write a story, or a post and he finds out that it's already been done. Not only has it already been done, but it's already been done bigger and better then he could ever hope.

Ladies and Gentlemen allow me to link you to a story. It appeared in the Washington Post. It says everything I could ever hope to say about the current situation with the Stimulus Package.

This article written by Charles Krauthammer is the most true thing I've seen written about President Obama.

It brings to light key issues into this Stimulus plan. My favorite being the Milwaukee School Plan. They want to give Milwaukee Public Schools around 88 million for new construction. The School District of Milwaukee has fifteen vacant schools, has declining enrollment and no plans to start construction anytime soon.

It's thing like this that make me disheartened....oh well I guess, I've only got another what...3 years and change?

Hope and change America, hope and change.
