Day One: January 20th 2009

No matter how hard I try I won't write anything amazing here. I keep waiting for John Locke to surge into my body and take control of my hands, however I know that won't happen. As a matter of fact it wouldn't surprise me if Mr. Locke isn't rolling over in his grave right now.

Friends, we have reached D-Day. I like so many others have put this off in my mind. I thought that I was living a horrid dream. I thought that this day would pass and someone would say, "Gotcha" and produce McCain to be sworn in, but alas that hasn't happened. So here I am...with this little slice of the internet and the idea to document the entirety of the Barack Obama presidency and administration.

First, congratulations to Barack and all his supporters. This is a great day for you and probably for America. We have come so long and so far for this all to happen. You have to understand that my intent isn't to take uncalled for pot shots at President Obama (experience, attitude, arrogance) Rather I am here to discuss his presidency. I know this will not be the only account to do so, but I hope I can do it rather well and provide some satirical pieces from time to time.

Second, this is my web space. I ask that you honor it was you would another person's home. That means try to temper yourself in the comments as well as in the emails or messages you may or may not send to me. This means all negative comments should be tempered as well. The last thing I need is to be on some sort of FBI watch list for this thing.

Thirdly, welcome. May the next four years continue to challenge our country, and make us stronger. May they strength this great nation. And may God continue to bless America.
