Days Four, Five and Six: January 23rd, 24th, 25th

Sorry for not updating since Thursday. I have been busy with matters of work and friends. I saw some very good movies yesterday and was impressed with all of them. Other then that we solider on in the dark age...just kidding.

1. I find it funny that the GOP put up a plan to send the prisoners that were in Camp X-Ray (Gitmo) to Alcatraz Island, the abandon prison out on the West Coast. It's funny because the Island is in the district of a certain Speaker of the House...a woman names Nancy Pelosi. After all if the left want to close Gitmo certainly they should be willing to except certain responsibilites for the inhabitants. That however is not the case. I continue to voice my displeasure with closing a military prison without any other location to transfer the prisoners. Especially when those prisoners appear in Al-Qaeda videos. 2. Obama continued his arrogance as he had GOP leaders to the White House to discuss his stimulus package. He threw jabs at Republicans saying things like "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done". He also threw out the phrase, "I won", to several key Republicans. The arrogance that this man has posessed since jump street has been startling to say the least. The fact that it remains, even now when he holds the highest office in all the land is depressing.

3. Another link for all of the viewers around here to follow...this article here, written by Mike Allen of Politico, tells the story of Barrack Obama's approval numbers. In a recent poll conducted by Gallup it turns out that 68% of those polled think that Obama is doing a good job in his first three days as President. That's down frm the 82% who thought he was handling the transition of power well about a week ago. Perhaps we can really find out what people think of Obama now, instead of Democratic hype machine.

That's all I got for today...a Lazy Sunday in Philadelphia.

What to watch for this week: The first part of my "Why Did You Vote for Obama" series in which I will talk with Obama supporters as to the key reasons why they voted the way they did.

What to watch for in DC this week: Kristen Gillibrand

  2. Journalists, like myself, have to give both sides. J, however, is not obligated to do so.
